I downloaded an app a few days ago. Karma. That is the name of the app. Karma. Its main purpose is to help restaurants and bakeries sell the last pieces of food or baked goods before they close for the day. Two hours before closing they put a notification up on the app with what is left, and the customers can use the app to buy the food for half the price and pick it up before closing time. Usually before six o´clock. I have noticed during these days I have had the app that a lot of food gets saved. You have to move fast if you want to have a chance at dinner from a well-renowned place for half the price. You just have to love innovation.
I found this article by The Guardian of apps around the world that does the same thing.
