I am following Fred Granath on Instagram and read a comment he got and answered last week.
The comment: Apathy. Greed. Ignorance. Division. And me not knowing what the hell to do…
Fred´s answer: Be all you can be. Do som reading online. It is easy. Talk to friends and family about it. Vote Trump to the moon in the next election. Bring your own bag to the grocery store. Eat less meat. Take the bike instead of car when it is possible. Vote with your wallet. Support sealegacy.org, Greenpeace and other great ngo´s Stay optimistic.<3 We can turn this around. Because we have to.
I just love this answer from Fred. Be all you can be. It is the small things that do the big changes. Gradually turning towards something better then what has been. People have this assumption that they have to sell their car or go 110% vegan if you do not then you do not care enough about the issue. I do not know what that way of thinking comes from, All or nothing, Black, and white, but I do not agree with it. Think of the impact it would get if you could inspire a large number of people to take a bag with them to the grocery store for a week or two. People that usually do not do that. A small change like that can make a difference in people´s perceptive about what they can do in their everyday life to help. I never thought that I would take my bag with me but today I have it with me 90% of the time I go to the grocery store. The other times I buy the more expensive paper bag. The next thing is to buy small nets that I can put fruits and veggies in. One step at a time, one small thing after another.
